Good evening Cho's!
I hope you all had an amazing weekend! As you may know, there were many posts on the official blog today! First, I'll let you know about the game night. If you don't know what Game Night is, it is a night where the Chobots Team will open up all of the leaderboards to every game, and Chobots will compete to see who can get the first place spot! If you do end up winning a Game Night, you will earn a game controller, 10000 bugs, and a week of citizenship! This Game Night will be held Tuesday, July 30th at 9pm Cho-Time.

Cheating is forbidden. Any cheaters should be reported to the post here, as well as a picture attachment to prove your report is not false.
We also have our long awaited "Chollywood Celebrities Contest" results! If you don't remember, the contest was to go out and find an interesting story about a famous Chobots star. The results are finally announced, and in first place, with a story about Hannah Chotana's secret of leading a double life, ToastyTim!
In second place, with an interesting capture of a Cho Direction secret, Rosey2000!
And lastly, in third, with Adele literally setting fire to the rain, Alexa!
Congratulations to these three for their outstanding stories about these famous Cho's!

Good afternoon!
Today, there were some new announcements and an update to Chobots! Jake announced today that gift was being removed from Chobots and replaced with a newly recoded trading feature. Many Chobots have mixed feelings about this, but as for me, I'm glad about this change. There were many reports of scamming going on with the gift button, so the new trade feature will surely reduce the drastic reports of scamming, and the amount of scammers that roam Chobots. The trade button was tested for a few minutes with everyone at Cafe Street, but was removed, along with the trade button, shortly after.
This isn't the only update though. There has also been a newly designed "connection error" screen.

The new screen is much more brighter than the previous ones, and it even has a little chobot in the corner! It's not a big update to freak out over, but this is a really neatly designed CE screen.
With that said, what are your thoughts of the updates? I personally love the new CE screen, and the trading feature. The trading feature was a much needed update, and it's great to know our developers did a great job developing such an awesome feature! There has been no word on when the trading feature will be released to the public, but I hope it's soon!

If you follow the Chobots forum, then you may know that we have two new forum legends today! If you don't know what a forum legend is, a forum legend is someone who follows the forum rules, posts a lot of good quality posts on the forum, and of course, is active on the forum and has spent a lot of time on the forum. These two users are very active on the forum, and have been really helpful to many of users of the forum! Your new forum legends are: Grace and Luna!

This is a reminder to all agents that on Monday, July 29th, you will have an agent meeting. The meeting will begin at 9:30 pm Cho-Time. You will be discussing suggestions, events, how Chobots is doing, etc. Attendance is not required, but highly recommended.

Hello Cho's!
The Chobots team is, once again, looking for users to join the agency team! If you know someone who has worked hard, and you think deserves agency, then leave a brief description of why the user should become an agent (more info down below). You are allowed to recommend only TWO users for agency.

You will no longer be sending your recommendations through a comment on the main blog, though. The team has developed a new, more anonymous system of recommending your players.
Once the recommendations are over, the team will count how many recommendations each user got, and place the top nominees on the agent poll!
Remember: Cheating is against the rules. Any cheaters will lose their chances of becoming an agent forever.
Good luck to all users! Remember, that if you don't get agency this time, it takes a long time for you to become one! Never give up on your goals, though!

Good afternoon!
If you use the Chobots forums, then you may realize that they have been updating it quite a bit! They changed the template, plus added a bunch of great new features! When you first go to the forums, you will see this new and improved template:
I like this template, but I also think that there could be an option to make the colors darker, as bright colors can bug a person's eyes more than the next. I like the template though, and I give the staff credit for working so hard to make the forums better and better for users!
Some features they added is that you can like posts, tag other users, and even have a status/chat bar down at the bottom of the page, which is what most of us have suggested to make the forums better! If you don't use the forums, I really suggest checking them out! You can meet tons of great people on the forums, and also find games/contests that other users will host! The forums are a really great time.

How much do you guys love contests? I love contests a lot, personally. Well, if you DO enjoy contests, we have a new Space Racing contest, and the leaderboards are open! You will have until July 20th to prove that you're the fastest racer in Chobots!

Today, the team has announced that they will be opening up new summer positions in the team. There are three different positions they are looking for, such as:
Premium Guru:
What you have to do is be able to keep the $hop, daily draw, and citizenship items up to date. You will constantly be thinking up of new ideas and offers for citizenship, and also keeping an eye out for items to add to the $hop. You are required to be active and know what you are doing, as well as communicate effectively and always be motivated to do your job. A little experience in Marketing won't hurt either.
Staff Author:
If you love writing, and you find yourself writing a lot, then this might be the position for you. Writing will be the only thing you'll be doing all day. You will work closely with the staff members to produce all kinds of documentation and many other texts. Doing this, you will become a Chobots expert. Writing on the main blog will also be a large part of your job. You will be required to have plenty of time on your hands, as you have to complete large writing in such a small amount of time. Advanced comprehension and English skills will also help you with this job. You will be working both independently and with a team.
Creative Director:
With the position, the future of Chobots rests in your hands. You will be working with moderators and designers to create events, parties, competitions, etc. You will focus on making sure everyone is having fun, as well as inventing new events for everyone to enjoy. Your time will be spent planning events for the next few months, as well as working on planning how to make them happen. You will be required to be organized, creative, and ambitious. When you are faced with problems, you will need to think of a practical solution and be able to carry it out. Always be motivated to direct the creativity around Chobots, while being very outgoing and positive.
Side Note: This will not be a blogging position, as most of your work will consist of writing documentation.
If you wish to apply to one of these positions, contact admin@chobots.net to send in your resume/application for the said position you want. They care about your personality, just as much as they care about skill, so make sure that you can make them laugh or think very highly of you, as that can give you a better chance for the position. Hello Cho's
First off before we get into Chobots updates, I made a new blog because, as most of you know, I used to co-own Luna's blog. He thought it would be best if we parted ways and went back to managing our own blogs. So, I thank Luna for giving me a great experience with co-owning, and I wish him best luck with his blog.
Now onto the updates.
The first update is that they have changed the News page to have July's events on it.

As you can see, we already had a Game Night on the 7th, and the next one will be on the 28th. Pets weekend was last weekend (11th-14th), and we had the pets party on the 13th, and another party will be held on the 24th. Also on the 21st we will get another clothing refresh. Also, you may notice a button at the bottom. That's the button to enter the Daily Draw.

If you don't know what the Daily Draw is, it is kind of like a raffle. You pay bugs to buy a ticket, but the catch is, you can buy multiple amounts of tickets at the same time. Yesterday's prize was 5 free days of citizenship, and today's prize is 300,000 bugs! The entry fee will depend on the prize. When you click this button you will be taken to this screen:
Prizes will change each day
As you can see, the entry fee was lower than it was yesterday, and I also had entered 50 times. The current prize will also change, so it gives people something to work for. This is basically what the Daily Draw feature is! I feel like it's a perfectly fair system for Chobots to start earning money on their own, instead of asking for things like bugs, gifts, etc. What are your thoughts about it?
There has also been a Councilor announcement, but whenever the first Councilors are announced, I will go more in depth into it, but if you feel curious and want to learn more about it, read Jake's FAQ on the main blog to learn more about this wonderful new system.
