Hello Cho's!
My apologies for the lack of posts the past few days, I've been busier than I expected, but I'll be sure I keep the blog updated for everyone!  I won't be posting the posts that I missed because I am pretty sure that everyone has already seen them, so I don't want to flood everyone with posts that may have been seen by a majority of the community already.  Once again, my apologies, I will be keeping this blog running!  Thank you for your patience.

Hello Cho's!
It's a brand new week!  Let's get you caught up on all the things happening around Chobots!

First off, if you don't remember this challenge, we failed it last time due to a big amount of trolling throughout the community.  It's a Tree Day challenge!

Welcome to my boredom

This challenge is much like the last one, except this time, we have to keep the trees red for at least two hours straight.  If you don't know the rules, it's really simple!  Us Chobots have to keep all of the trees on Chobots World painted a certain color (In this case, red) for a certain amount of time (In this case, two hours straight).  If we can work together as a team and succeed this challenge, every single user of Chobots will receive something special!  The challenge will begin on Tuesday, September 12 at 12:30 pm Cho-Time.  The team is watching, so they will be able to tell if we succeed or don't succeed!

Time left until the challenge starts:

Speaking of challenges, the Chobots Team hasn't challenged us to a game of Hangman and Pictionary in a while!  Well, worry no more!  The Chobots Team would like us to join them on Wednesday and challenge us to a few games of Hangman and Pictionary!

If you're interested in testing your knowledge and playing a few games, meet the staff in the Agents Underground at 21:00 pm Cho-Time on Wednesday, September 18th for some fun, and hopefully challenging games!  If you're still kind of new to the whole Pictionary and Hangman scene, let me lay down the rules for you.  In Pictionary, the drawer will draw something on the wall for us to guess.  The first one to get it correct will get a point.  In Hangman, you have to discover the hidden word, that has a certain amount of spaces, and you have to guess letters to get your way through the puzzle, and the one to guess the hidden word or phrase will get a point!

I hope you can join the staff for some fun, below is a countdown clock for your convenience.

Next up, it's that time of month again - Journalism!  Journalism is a big goal for most of our Chobots users, and anyone would love to have their blog showcased by the staff themselves.  Journalists work hard to make their blog as perfect as it can possibly be each month, since the staff refreshes the journalism team about once a month.

Bloggers that are journalists receive many great perks for their accomplishment, such as
  • Their blog is added to the main blog's sidebar
  • Their blog is advertised at the time of the play window each time a user logs on
  • A badge with their blog's name is added to their playercard to show off their accomplishment
  • They are able to post one post on the Chobots official blog
  • They are able to send a staff member a Private Chat even when the staff member's playercard is blocked
  • They will receive a feather, 10000 bugs, and 7 days of citizenship for their hard work
  • Your in-game name tag will be turned to a purple background color
Sounds awesome right?  Just hold your horses though.  There are certain requirements your blog must meet before you can post a submission for Journalsim.
  • Your blog is AT LEAST one (1) month old
  • Your blog must be active, and must be updated weekly, but preferably daily.
  • Your posts are original and are written by yourself and yourself ONLY - No plagiarism allowed
  • Make your blog look nice and noticeable.  A simple header with a simple template will do, but feel free to do whatever you want with your blog!  Be creative!
If your blog meets these requirements, and you feel you have what it takes, post a submission with your blog link on this post.  Keep in mind that blog submitted anywhere else will not be counted.  You will have until September 24th to get your blog in top shape!

**NOTE TO FORMER JOURNALISTS**:  If you're interested in becoming a journalist for this month, you MUST re-submit your blog by the said date above.

And lastly, I'm sure we all remember the Game Zone contests.  They've ended and our winners have been announced for each game!  Keep in mind, since 5 games were all having a competition at once, the top 2 players received prizes for their effort!

Congratulations to each of the winners!  First place winners receive 5 days of citizenship, a gold #1 medal, and 5000 bugs!  Second place winners receive 4 days of citizenship, a silver #2 medal, and 4000 bugs.  Congratulations once again to the winners and to everyone who participated and tries to get in the Top 2!  Don't be upset if you didn't win this time, there will be plenty more contests in the future.

Have a good week!

Hello Cho's!
It's September!  A brand new month means a bunch of brand new contests, citizenship packages, and a clothing refresh!  The team has brought in a brand new shipment of clothes that they are sure that we will enjoy!

Junior/Citizen items
Fire Claws - 900 bugs
Meme Mask - 2500 bugs
Sneakers - 2500 bugs

Citizens Only items
Rocker Shirt - 3000 bugs
Shark Head - 2150 bugs
Heart Sword - 15000 bugs

What is your favorite item from this new shipment?  Mine is the Heart Sword because it looks really nice, and goes well with the swords you can get with a 1 or 12 month citizenship package!  The staff would also love some feedback about the new shipments, so go give them some feedback on this post here.

Have fun!

Hello Cho's!
After looking through all of the entries for two competitions, the team has announced the 3 winners for both competitions!  For the drawing competition, you were asked to draw a picture about going back to school, since school has recently started up!  The drawings were all phenomenally great, but there could only be 3 final winners.

3rd place - Vasa12345, Vasa wins a paintbrush, 3 days of citizenship, and 3000 bugs

2nd place - Alexander, Alexander wins a paintbrush, 5 days of citizenship, and 4000 bugs

1st place - Sweetneetu, Sweet wins a paintbrush, 7 days of citizenship, and 5000 bugs

Congratulations to the winners as well as everyone who took part of this competition!  If you didn't win this time, never give up!  If a winner has a paintbrush already, they will win a house shirt in the color of their choosing instead!

Moving onto our Comic Competition winners, there were many terrific entries for this contest as well!  Only three entries can take the win, sadly, but let's see who these three Chobots are!

Alexander

Sam

Willy

Congratulations of course to the winners and the people who all entered both contests!  Willy, Sam, and Alexander will all win 5000 bugs, 7 days of citizenship, and a comic hand-held item!  Don't be upset if you didn't win this time, there's always going to be competitions on Chobots!

See you soon!

Hello Cho's!
Are you an artist on Chobots that feels like that you could beat someone in a 1 on 1 doodling challenge?  If so, you'll love this event!  It's called Doodle Day!

What is Doodle Day?
Doodle day works kind of like this:

  • We will meet in the Artist Underground (Not the Agent or Citizen undergrounds), and prepare for a doodle competition between the artists and staff members.
  • The wall will then be separated into two (2) halves.  One side will be for a staff member, the other for an artist.
  • A staff member gets to choose the topic of what to draw, like the example "music".  The staff member and artist will both draw something that has to do with music.  The only thing is they will be timed.
  • After the selected time limit runs out, the users in the room that aren't participating in the contest will get to vote and choose who has the better drawing.  If they choose the artist, they could receive something very cool!
The first of hopefully many Doodle Days will be taking place on Sunday, September 15th.  It will start at 8:00 Cho-Time.  Below is a countdown clock for your convenience.

Hope to see you there!

Hello Cho's!
I hope you like music, because the staff has another fun-filled event that you'll enjoy!  Tomorrow, the staff will be holding an event that has formerly been known as Wednesday Music Jam, but has been been renamed to Music Bash!  If you're interested in this event, meet the staff at Rockemall Street tomorrow, Thursday, September 12th at 8:00 pm Cho-Time!  There will be music from your favorite artists, and genres of all kind!  There might even be a few surprises...

A countdown clock is, as always, placed below for your convenience.

Hello Cho's!
I missed an entire day of blogging, and I missed a lot of updates!  Let's get right into some Chobots news that you should know about!

First off, there is a new Comic Contest on the main blog!  The staff thought it's been quite a while, so why not?  Make sure you use this template below

(Click for Original Size)

Since the summer season is slowly drawing to a close, Autumn is just around the corner!  For this contest, your topic is about what you plan to do in the Autumn season.  The comics will be judged based off of creativity, so be very creative and original!  The deadline to submit your comic is Friday, September 13th.  Good luck to all participants!

Second, the team has brought in a brand new shipment of citizenship packages and deals!  With these new September citizenship packages, you can choose to be a Fairy Fighter, Fairy Master, or Fairy Ruler!  Of course, with every citizenship package, you receive some neat items, bugs, and the ability to gift and trade!

To learn more about citizenship, and to buy it, click here.  Hopefully, a lot of Chobots will sport these new items around, I personally love the 6 month deal, and the items that come with it!

Lastly, our helpers who helped feed Daisy the most hay were announced today.  A lot of Chobots contributed to helping to feed Daisy, but unfortunately, only the top three Chobots can be recognized.  Daisy thanks every single Chobot who helped keep her fed and happy!  Your top three Chobots, and winners of the Cow Mission Contest stands as:

Congratulations to these three!  Billybubble will win 10000 bugs, 7 days of citizenship, a first place medal, and Daisy background!  Stargurl will receive 7000 bugs, 5 days of citizenship, a second place medal, and a Daisy background.  And lastly, Harrythebest will receive 5000 bugs, 3 days of citizenship, a third place medal, and a Daisy background.  Congratulations, once again, to the winners and to everyone who participated in the contest!  Thank you for keeping Daisy happy, she really appreciates your hard work!

Have fun!

Hello Cho's!
Daisy has been really lonely lately, and hasn't had anyone to feed her hay!  Because of this, the team has started a farming contest to help keep Daisy happy, and keep her fed!

You have from today, September 8th to September 10th to see how many points you can get from feeding Daisy!  Rack up the most points to be at the top of the leaderboards!  The top three players will be awarded with some pretty awesome prizes!

Good luck to all participating, and remember that cheating is forbidden, and if you catch a cheater, email Support at support@chobots.net with proof.

Happy Farming!

Hello Cho's!
A few days ago, Alyssa, Coby, and Mike hosted a fun game of Hide and Seek!  Before beginning, the moderators had some fun hanging out with the other Chobots.  Unfortunately, whenever the moderators started hiding, it caused a lot of lag on the server, and were unable to log on again to complete their game.  However, two moderators were found, which means, there were two winners!

Hydra and Elthomii found Mike and Coby before the servers had crashed, meaning that they were the only two winners of the Hide and Seek game!  They will each receive 5 days of citizenship and 10000 bugs.  I sadly wasn't able to make it, however, I hope the ones who did had a great time while it lasted!

Have a good week

Hope you have fun, can't wait to see you there!  Who will you dress up with?

Hello Cho's!
We all have our favorite game throughout Chobots, such as Sliders, Checkers, or maybe even Coins Rain!  Well, since the GameZone is a Chobots gamer's number one gaming fun, the team thought it would be fun to hold a contest solely for the GameZone!  The scoreboards for each game in the GameZone have been turned on, and people are already racking up their score!

You will have until Friday, September 13th to rack up the highest score you can!  Since there are 5 games in the GameZone, and ll 5 will be open for competition, 1st and 2nd place will both receive a prize for their score!  Good luck, and of course, have fun!

Now onto our party review of Mike and Coby's Dubstep Party!  First off, the party was amazing, and the magic and music were both amazing!  The social interaction at the party started out good then slowly died down, but Mike and Coby both kept the party going by having everyone dance to their favorite dubstep song!  Here are some screenshots from the party!

There was no rain at the party, which is of course ok, because who really needs rain at a party to have fun?  All in all, this was one party that I wish would've just kept going!  I really hope that Mike and Coby do something like this again in the future, because it seemed to get a lot of people away from Cafe Street!  Great job to Mike and Coby for hosting an amazing party, I'll definitely make sure I try to attend the next one!

Have a great weekend!

Hello Cho's!
While there may be tons of artistic users in our tiny community, it never hurts to show your true potential!  With school recently starting for most users, the team thought it'd be a great idea to hold a Back to School drawing contest!  You are permitted to draw either on a computer or in real life.  Make sure you upload your picture to a picture sharing website, such as Tinypic, or any other site that can give you a direct link to your uploaded picture.  Make sure you comment your username along with your picture, because, as always, the best drawings will be rewarded with some neat items!

Make sure to keep your drawing in the theme of "Back to School"!  You have until September 12th, so take your time, and don't rush it!

Also, due to technical difficulties, we were sadly unable to play Hide and Seek with Alyssa last time.  But not to worry!  The Hide and Seek game is going to be re-scheduled!  If you enjoy hide and seek and enjoy prizes, then you should come play!

If you want to play Hide and Seek, it is scheduled for Thursday, September 5th at 10:30 pm Cho-Time, at the Eco Street.  Once everyone is ready to play, the staff members will run off and go hide, and it'll be our job to find them!  The first one to find a staff member will win a prize, so there will be multiple winners!  As always, a countdown clock is placed below to help you with any time zone issues.

An extra tip from Alyssa:  Moderators and staff members can move themselves, and make themselves invisible, as well as can even transform into a body (such as the Star) and can make the game more difficult, so if you've looked everywhere, double check!

Have a good day!

Hello Cho's!
After browsing through every submitted blog, the staff has finally decided who our September Journalists are!  Most of these blogs are first time journalists, and have proven their blogs to have met and exceeded the expectations of Journalism!  Congratulations to each of the following blogs for being apart of the journalist program of September.

Congratulations to every blog owner that has achieved Journalism, as well as every blog owner that submitted a blog!  All journalists have been rewarded with 7 days of citizenship and a feather item!

If you want to be an October journalist, it is recommended to start working on your blog now so that it's ready to go whenever submissions roll around again!  You have a full month to get your blog exactly how you want it, so take the opportunity!

See you soon!
