Recently, there have been many reports that there have been users trying to trick others into giving them their personal info. The team is aware, and wants to stress the fact that no staff member WILL NEVER ask for a password of a user, no matter the circumstances. If you are consulted by any user, regardless if they're a staff member or not, screenshot it, and send it to Support as quickly as possible. If you have any questions, or further concerns, it is also encouraged to email Support. The team also states that any user caught sharing their password will be banned to ensure the safety of other users.

I hope you had fun at the fashion show! It was really great, both ToastyTim and Jake ($100) made it very enjoyable, and I'm glad I was able to make it! Shortly after the last round of the fashion show, Jake told us that he had a little announcement to make.
Yes, that is right! Mike is our newest moderation staff member! I've known Mike since my early days on .net, and he's been such a great help and a great friend. So with that, I'd love to extend my congratulations to Mike, as he has worked hard for this position!

Summer is sadly coming to an end, and most of us have probably started back to school in the past few weeks. Well, the team thought it would be a great idea to throw a little back to school party for us to get a start on the school year!

The party will be held in the Academy Street Classroom on August 27th at 6:30 PM Cho-Time on the most populated server and have a great time with an educational welcoming, music, magic, possible giveaways, and most importantly, fun!

There were some new competitions announced today! The team thought it would be a great idea to hold an in-game competition before everyone started to go back to school. But what can be better than one in-game competition? How about three! Your summer was probably spent having fun and eating a bunch of food! Well, for these competitions, you may want to have a good brain and strategy to win! Yes, the team has decided to open up the leaderboards to the Sliders, Checkers, and Chess games, all located at Academy Street, as well as inside the Academy!

You will have until the 31st of August to get the highest score you can in any of these three games! Winners will, of course, be rewarded with some neat prizes!
Speaking of summer ending, the team has also given another contest to work on outside of Chobots! There have been many great memories over the summer, and the team would like you to share them! To do this you can make a comic, scrapbook, or a video.

August has been filled with a bunch of amazing things so far, such as music jam parties, black and white parties, and now, a freshly stocked premium items shop! Some items were in here previously, but nonetheless, many brand new things were added, and they look amazing! Let's take a look:
This is the citizens items category. Keep in mind that only citizens can use these items. These are some really neat items they have in this category! I can't come up with a favorite item for this category, they're all equally amazing!

This is the freshly re-stocked Junior/Citizen items category. The wolf head has already been sold out, but you can vote to restock it, and there should be a fresh shipment within a few days! My favorite item in this category is the Teddy Bear, because, not only is it very cheap at $2.99, and it can go with any style you choose!
This is the character bodies category, where you can change the body of your Chobot. They've changed it up quite a bit from the last refresh we've had, and have given us the present body, the pumpkin body, and the tree body! The present and the tree are both $3.99 and the pumpkin is $5.99. If I could choose a favorite, I would choose the pumpkin because it's getting close to Halloween, and the pumpkin body would be a great item to use during October!
Next up is the chat bubbles category. They've added three new chat bubbles to the $hop for us to choose from! My favorite chat bubble would be "Blue Stars". I like the style of the chat bubble, and the combination of blue colors really makes it stand out.
And lastly, we have the playercard skins category. They have changed the three available playercard skins to the ones above. The one named "Sunset" is originally made by our beloved Chobots agent, Kingkevin! My favorite out of these three would either be Galaxy or Sunset! I like the color schemes on both of them and they both have really neat styles and patterns to them!
Personally, I really like the $hop items that they have released for this month! There's so many to choose from! I can't wait to see next month's refresh!

Administration has spent much time on discussing on which rules they would wish to change or remove from the official list of rules. After talking with a select group of Chobots, the staff has finally decided which rules they would like to omit from the official list.

- Advertising - Promoting websites that have no relation in Chobots in any way.
- Asking for agency - Asking a moderator to become an agent without any signs of working for it.
- Asking for items - Begging and annoying other users by constantly asking for items of theirs.
- Controversial discussion - Talking about touchy topics such as religion, sexuality, etc.
- Asking for gifts - Begging/annoying users for free gifts and items
The staff thought it was time to start evolving the rules, since the age group and maturity of Chobots is gradually starting to increase. The Chobots Team would also like to put out there that even if the "No Dating" rule has been removed from the list, that they, in no way, encourages the users of Chobots to engage in online relationships, and if you do decide to, it is best to take steps back and evaluate what you are committing to before doing so.
As mentioned by the team many times, Chobots is a game that is run by the community for the community. They are here to provide it's community with friendly support and ensure that everyone is enjoying themselves in a more safe environment, and not "police" your thoughts and opinions, your actions, and do not in any way want to restrict your social freedom. They believe that it is on us to figure out what is right and what is wrong.
Your account may not be punished for violating any of these rules from here on out, but the community will frown upon your actions. There is a line that is not to be crossed. Moderators can still suspend your account they feel that you are disrupting the other player's gameplay, even if breaking a rule that was omitted.

Hello Cho's!
As most of you know, I was unable to make Music Jam on Wednesday due to school. Due to me missing it, I am not able to post a proper recap post to it. Not to worry though, a recap with everything that went on at the Music Jam party has been posted on the main blog here. I do have the winners from the "Best Music Outfit" competition! These Chobots made amazing styles and instruments combine into one amazing style, and I do have to say, they did a fantastic job at doing so!

Elthomii has a really neat style that matches his playercard skin! The maracas go terrifically with the Jamaican hat and the rest of his style!
Ground is using the maracas as well, but uses them quite differently this time. He has a neat sombrero to give it a nice Mexican fiesta touch!
And lastly, Chalk, who is yet again, using maracas, but gives her outfit a nice black and white feature.
Congratulations to these three for being chosen as best dressed! I can't wait until the next party! I hope that whoever didn't make it to this one can make it to the next!

I'm sure you all have heard of our beloved agent Kai. He's a very nice person, and if you get to know him, he's really cool. Kai recently quit for a while, but he is back now! Kai was apart of the agency team before quitting, but he has his badge back and is ready to help our agents in making Chobots a safe community!

Hello Cho's!
I'm sure you all listen to music, whether it's on Youtube, on your MP3 players, or even when you visit a blog like mine and many other's. Music is all around us - of all genres too! Parties bring the most genres of music together all at once! So the team thought we should have a special Wednesday Music Jam party! There will be magic, colors, some rain, and of course, music of any genre!

The party will be held tomorrow, August 21st at 5:30 pm Cho-Time at the Music Stage. If you don't know what the Music Stage is, it is the little garage type building at Rockemall Street. It is a citizens exclusive room, making this a citizen only party. Bring your instruments and let your musical side roam free! The users with the best outfits mixed with their instruments will receive some prizes! A timer is placed below in case you need help figuring out the time that the party will start!

Good morning Cho's!
As you could probably tell, it was a colorless weekend on Chobots. Whilst it was colorless, we still had tons of fun with a talent show on Saturday, and following it up with a party on Sunday. During this party, the Chobots team was hard at work looking for the most stylish black and white styles, and they found 4 that really caught their eyes.

Hello Cho's!
I hope whoever attended the Black and White weekend party had a great time! I didn't get any screenshots, but it sure was fun and cool. Many users seemed to enjoy the party and the music. There was of course, magic, and even a bit of rain. It rained a ton of grey items! Here are some of the items it rained at the party:
I also asked a few friends on their opinions of the party. Here is what a few of them said:
My overall thoughts of the party is that it was really really fun and different. The music selection was amazing, and it seemed as if everyone had fun! If they were to throw another party like this, I would make sure I could attend! I will be putting a few items that were rained on the market in the coming days, so be on the lookout for them. I hope everyone who attended had a great time, and if you didn't attend, I hope you can attend the next time!

A few days ago, Chopix called out for everyone to help him catch as many Nicho spies as possible, and with so many people helping him, we eventually got rid of all of them! Hello Cho's!
Chobots has recently been updated with a bunch of new features! First off, Chopix has informed us that he needs help capturing Nicho Spies that have gotten loose! You will have from August 14th to August 16th to capture as many spies as possible, and the three Chobots that helped Chopix the most will receive a really neat prize! To help Chopix, all you have to do is head to the Park, and grab the special hunting glasses from Chopix, and begin your quest to finding Nicho spies!
There has also been a few updates to the badges, citizenship page, and trading feature! First of all, the forum legend and journalist badges have received a nice change! Also, the councilor badge has also received a change.
The citizenship packages have also changed for this month due to the release of trading! Here are the new citizenship packages:
One Month package: Comes with 4 items, a cool playercard skin, and the ability to trade. Comes with 10,000 bugs. Costs $4.99. Good to buy if you already have a citizenship package, and you want to unlock trade. Also good for beginning citizen users.
Six Month package: Comes with 4 items, a playercard skin, and the ability to trade. Comes with a bonus of 65,000 bugs. Costs $24.99. Good to buy if you have been interested in citizenship for a long time, as well as if you're a first time buyer, and you want a longer subscription.
Twelve Month package: Comes with every item from the other two citizenship packages, plus 6 extra items, a playercard skin, a neat chat bubble, and the ability to trade. Comes with a bonus of 150,000 bugs. Costs $44.99. Good to buy if you plan on sticking around Chobots for a good amount of time. I don't recommend buying if you plan on quitting in the near future. Buying this package also gives you a free name change, which you have one week to use.
Now into the final update, of which came out this morning, you can now get notifications when a friend of yours comes online. To do this, just click the star on a friend's playercard. **NOTE**: This is only possible to do with a friend. If the user is not in your friends list, you will not see a star.
If the star is green, then that means you are not getting a notification that they are online, but if the star is red (as shown in the picture), then that means that you will see a notification pop up on the side of your screen letting you know that your friend is online.
What is your favorite update of this new build? I personally love that trading is back. No more users can scam another user for items. It'll be a clean and fair trade for each side, as long as make it fair for everyone else.

Hello Cho's!
It's been quite a while since the team has decided to do a little hangman and pictionary event for us. With this being said, the team has announced that they will be holding a hangman/pictionary event tomorrow.
If you don't know what these types of events are, basically, we will gather at the agents underground, and wait for staff members to log on. After they arrive, it's game on. These types of events include of course, hangman and pictionary. Hangman is when we need to guess a certain word, and pictionary is when someone draws a picture and we have to guess what it is.
The event will be held, as stated earlier, tomorrow, August 14th at 7:30 pm Cho-Time (19:30pm). Let's do our best to have the most fun possible for this event!
It's been quite a while since the team has decided to do a little hangman and pictionary event for us. With this being said, the team has announced that they will be holding a hangman/pictionary event tomorrow.
If you don't know what these types of events are, basically, we will gather at the agents underground, and wait for staff members to log on. After they arrive, it's game on. These types of events include of course, hangman and pictionary. Hangman is when we need to guess a certain word, and pictionary is when someone draws a picture and we have to guess what it is.
The event will be held, as stated earlier, tomorrow, August 14th at 7:30 pm Cho-Time (19:30pm). Let's do our best to have the most fun possible for this event!
A timer is placed below in case anyone needs help to know when hangman/pictionary starts.

I was browsing around Chobots today and I saw we have some new events lined up for us in the next few weeks!

As you know, on the 4th we had our Trees Day challenge (Which was quite sadly a failed challenge), and on the 7th we had a Wednesday Music Jam, and the next one will be on the 21st of August! This weekend, the 16th-18th, will be Black & White Weekend, so be on the lookout for that, and lastly, on the 27th, we will have another clothing refresh! Which of these events are you most excited for?
The new events aren't the only thing buzzing around Chobots today though, we also have our new councilors! When the agent poll ended a few weeks ago, not only agents were chosen, but there was also a councilor poll and our new councilors were chosen but not announced. Today, the results were made public, and it's time to recognize all of our new councilors! All of the councilors besides agents/moderators have gotten a nice councilor badge! Your new council members are:

Hello Cho's!
Today was filled with yet another surprise by the Chobots staff! They've made a new addition to the team, and I'm very happy to say that our favored agent Matthew, formerly known as ToastyTim, is now our new Creative Director! If you guys remember, a month or so ago, the team announced on the official blog that they were opening up temporary positions for the summer, known as "Summer Positions", and one of the options that you could apply for was Creative Director. I conducted an interview with Matthew about this experience.
Me: How are you doing today?
Matthew: Fantastic, you?
Me: I'm great thank you for asking! What was your first reaction of being named the new Creative Director?
Matthew: oh my
Me: Was it a goal of yours to become part of the staff?
Matthew: I guess it always kind of was. I never expected there to be a "Creative Director" job though. When I saw the post, I immediately sent an email and hoped for the best.
Me: Would you have applied for any of the other positions they announced?
Matthew: Although I do author on some blogs, I didn't think the "Staff Author" would be a good fit. The Premimum Guru just seemed way out my my leage.. Money.. Keeping them stocked.. marketing.. No thank you.
Me: Can you give a brief description of what your position is?
Matthew: Well I am working closely with the community leaders to think of new ideas for events, parties, contest, quests, things like that. All ideas like that should go through me first before being set in the game. On the post it says it is a Summer Position, but We'll see where it takes me after the Summer ends. I'll also be helping moderate at points.
Me: Oh nice! Ok final question: What is your favorite flavor of pie?
Matthew: Apple for real pie.. But for desserts that are considered "pie" because they are in a pie tin.. Reese's Peanut Butter Pie. It is litterally the best thing ever.
Me: Ooh! Well thank you for your time! Congratulations on becoming a staff member! :D

Good morning Cho's!
Moderators and staff members LOVE playing Hide and Seek with the community, and I personally enjoy participating in games as well! Since the moderators love playing it so much, they thought it was necessary to hold a Hide and Seek contest with the rest of the community!
If you are interested in joining the moderators in playing hide and seek, join them at the Eco Street at 8:30 (20:30)pm Cho-Time. Once there is enough people there, the moderators will leave Eco Street and start hiding. A timer is below in case you are confused when we will be starting.
Just remember, a moderator can easily turn themselves invisible, while hiding in some pretty interesting spots, and even move themselves, so make sure you look extra hard to find a moderator!

Hello Cho's!
We're only 7 days into August, and it's already shaping up to be a very fun month! The Chobots Staff has been watching over us Chobots and noticed some creative people among us in the Chobots community! With so much creativity surrounding Chobots, the team thought it would be appropriate to have a "Creativity Contest" to show off your creative side!

The Chobots Staff has been watching over us Chobots and noticed some creative people among us in the Chobots community! With so much creativity surrounding Chobots, the team thought it would be appropriate to have a "Creativity Contest" to show off your creative side!
The following is a compiled list of what you need to do to enter:
Create a story of a situation that is happening in the Chobots World. The story doesn't have to be based on a real life event if you please.
Your story must contain: A plot, characters, and a location
You can also format it how you want to as well, such as:
- Write paragraphs and describe what is happening in your story
- Drawing the story on the graffiti wall or on a piece of paper
- Scripts a film of your story and shoot a video
- Make a comic strip of your story
- Create a scrapbook of all of the events in your story
- Make a TV production of your story
- Make a newspaper entry of your story

The contest will last one week, meaning it will end on August 14th. Winners will be announced shortly after the contest ends!

Good evening!
Even if it doesn't seem like it, music is everywhere. It can be at home, in a car, or even on Chobots! If you are a hardcore music lover, you may even design your own outfit to your own personal music liking. Well, tomorrow, Wednesday, Augst 7th, you will get to show off your love for music, as the Chobots team and staff will be hosting a Wednesday Music Jam event. Everyone is encouraged to buy an instrument (or use one they already own), and rock out with all types of instruments, and make the planet of Chobots rock with beautiful music! Moderators will also help out by playing their own music throughout the day!
Not only will we be rocking Chobots with our amazing musical talents, but there will also be a competition! You need to form a band of at least two members and no more than five members playing their instruments, and take a quick photo or video, and submit it to the comments of the post here. Make sure to have Chobots names turned on. The winning group receives a week of citizenship! All pictures MUST be uploaded to Tinypic, and all videos MUST be uploaded to YouTube. You cannot be in more than one band!

Hello Cho's!
I hope it's been an awesome weekend for you guys so far, because Julia has an interesting challenge for us! The challenge is that today, August 4th, you have to keep all the trees in Chobots blue for two hours.
The only catch is: You have only 24 hours (one day) to complete this challenge, and if you don't, then there will be another day sometime when you can take another go! If we DO complete this challenge, then there will be a surprise for all of us! I can't wait to see if we can all do this amazing challenge!

Our agent voting, as well as our council voting begun earlier this week, and I am excited to announce that the polls have closed, and there are new agents, as well as, new Councilors in our Chobots Community! First off, let me say, congratulations to every single person that made it to the polls. It should be an honor to make it this far, even if you didn't win! Now, let's introduce our 3 new agents:

As we all know, it's the wonderful month of August, and we all know what that means: New citizenship items! But to make it even better, they restocked the Premium Items shop! First, let's go over the citizenship deals
1 month deal: With the one month citizenship package, you will receive 10,000 bugs, an Augustus Caesar costume, and a really neat playercard skin. The one month deal costs $4.99, and is a good deal if you want to plan on trying out citizenship!

I would only recommend this if you plan to stick behind your Chobots account for a very long time.
